Why Morocco?

The variety.

In 10 days you will visit big cities, small villages, mountains, valleys, a desert, an ocean, and everything in between.

You will meet Moroccans who preserve their culture and religion and those pushing to open it up.

You’ll smell spices of all flavors. Taste breads, spreads, and olives that you’ve never tasted before.

Morocco will wow you.

I was there September 2025 and I cannot wait to take you back with me!

Imagine This…

You’re sipping Moroccan mint tea, with a beautiful spread of Moroccan breakfast foods as the morning unfolds around you. Bright colors, warm air, street sounds, laughter, and the kind of energy that makes you feel instantly alive. That’s Morocco.

You’re surrounded by women who feel like instant friends. The kind of women who lift you up, laugh with you, and make you feel safe to be your whole self. That’s who my trips attract.

You feel free. You feel relaxed. You’re swapping stories, snapping photos, trying new foods, and getting lost (in the fun way).

This isn’t just a vacation sugar plum. It’s 10 days designed to reconnect you with the beauty of the world and reconnect you to yourself, the version that finally said yes!

Itinerary

  • Welcome to Morocco, loves.

From the moment you land in Casablanca, you’ll be greeted by our private driver and taken straight to the hotel, your first gentle landing spot after a long travel day. Settle in, breathe, stretch, and shake off the jet lag. You’ll have time to grab lunch, sip something refreshing, or simply rest before the adventure truly begins.

In the afternoon, we’ll come together for a Mini Morocco Welcome Workshop, your first taste of the culture, the rhythm, the history and the magic woven into every corner of this country.

Then we’ll head to the Hassan II Mosque, one of Morocco’s most breathtaking landmarks and the only mosque in the country open to non-Muslim visitors. With the Atlantic Ocean shimmering beside it and carved marble under your feet, you’ll step into a space that blends spiritual depth and architectural wonder. It’s the perfect energy for beginning a journey of self discovery.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll share our very first dinner together, a warm and flavorful Moroccan meal, before Alyssa leads an intimate Intention Setting Workshop. This is your moment to slow down, tune in and plant the seeds for what you want to receive and embody throughout this experience.

    Meals included: Dinner
    Accommodation: Casablanca

  • After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey north toward Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Our stop here is brief but meaningful, giving you the chance to stand before the elegant Hassan Tower and the beautifully crafted Mausoleum of Mohammed V, two striking symbols of Moroccan history and architectural artistry. It’s a moment to soak in both the ancient and the modern sides of this country.

We’ll enjoy lunch together before continuing our scenic drive to the dreamy mountain town of Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue Pearl. As the landscape shifts and the blue hues begin to appear, you’ll feel the energy soften. There is something about this town that instantly slows your heartbeat and opens your senses.

Once we arrive and check into our hotel, the evening is yours to explore…

Stroll through the main square with its gentle music, glowing lanterns and painted walls, or take the path up the hillside for one of the most breathtaking sunsets you will ever witness. It’s the perfect slow and spacious evening to let the magic of Morocco start sinking in.

    Meals included: Breakfast
    Accommodation: Chefchaouen

  • This morning we’ll step into the winding blue alleys of Chefchaouen for a guided walking tour. You’ll taste a few delicious street snacks, meet local artisans and feel the gentle rhythm of this mountain town wake up around you. Chef has a way of inviting you to slow down, look up and let the beauty wash over you.

After our walk, we’ll begin the drive toward Fes, with a stop for lunch along the way. As we descend from the Rif Mountains into the cultural heart of Morocco, the landscapes shift and the colors deepen.

When we arrive in Fes, get ready to be completely enchanted by our riad: This newly renovated space is pure Moroccan luxury with soul. Think retractable roof, open air courtyard with a dipping pool glistening under the sky, a rooftop hot tub with breathtaking views and warm, inviting details in every corner.

There is also an on-site hamam, where you’ll have the option to enjoy a traditional Moroccan spa experience. From the exfoliating scrub to the hair washing to the deep relaxation that follows, it’s an unforgettable ritual. You can choose to add on a massage as well.

Tonight is all about settling in, unwinding and letting yourself feel held by this beautiful space.

    Meals included: Breakfast
    Accommodation: Fes

*hamam is optional and not included in the price

  • This morning we’ll head into the heart of Fes for a guided walking tour that brings the old medina to life. You’ll visit a traditional tannery, watching artisans practice the ancient craft of leather making with methods passed down for generations. The colors, the process, the history — it’s mesmerizing.

We’ll wander deeper into the medina to taste the best soup in the city and warm, sweet cookies made right in front of you by local bakers. Fes has a way of engaging every sense, and today you’ll taste, smell, see and hear its magic up close.

We’ll also visit Al Qarawiyyin, the oldest university in the world, founded by a woman. It’s a powerful moment to stand in a place where women’s legacy and leadership have shaped history for over a thousand years.

The afternoon is yours to choose your own adventure…

You might explore more of the medina, return to the riad for a relaxing hammam session or join a weaving workshop to learn the traditional techniques this region is known for.

Around 6 pm we’ll meet back together and head into the market to gather fresh, local ingredients for our evening Moroccan cooking class. From spices to produce to the rhythm of the vendors calling out around you, this is the full Moroccan culinary experience from start to finish. We’ll cook, laugh and enjoy a beautiful dinner made by your own hands.

    Meals included: Breakfast & Dinner
    Accommodation: Fes

  • Buckle up, baby. Today is a journey.
Download your favorite podcast, make a playlist, grab your journal, and settle in. This is one of those long travel days that becomes a core memory — the kind where you’re half lost in your thoughts and half belting out tunes with the group as the miles roll by.

We’ll leave Fes and make our way toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Along the way we’ll take plenty of stretch breaks and stop at one of the most stunning lakes you will ever see. Crisp blue water surrounded by mountains, still and serene. It’s the perfect pause before the landscape shifts again.

As we approach Merzouga, the sand begins to appear — soft, golden and endless. When we arrive, we’ll transfer into 4x4 vehicles and ride across the dunes to our luxury desert camp. This is when the magic becomes real.

You’ll be welcomed by the warm and joyful Amazigh (Berber) hosts who will prepare dinner for us and greet us with a lively drum circle as the sun begins to set behind the dunes. The sound, the sky, the rhythm, the moment… it’s unforgettable.

Tonight you’ll sleep in a peaceful, silent desert where the world feels far away. And if you’re feeling brave or dreamy, there’s an option to sleep outside under the stars. The sky out here is unreal.

    Meals included: Breakfast & Dinner
    Accommodation: Merzouga, Sahara Desert

  • Today is pure play.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise spill across the sand hills, painting everything in gold. There is nothing quite like the stillness of a desert morning — it’s soft, sacred and full of possibility.

The whole day is yours to enjoy exactly how you want…

Sandboard down the dunes, roll around like a kid, take photos that look straight out of a dream or stretch out on the warm sand and do nothing at all. This is your space to play, rest and let your joy lead the way.

You also have optional activities you can enjoy:

You can head into town and relax at the hotel pool, visit a local nomadic family for a beautiful cultural exchange, ride ATVs through the desert, or simply be with your thoughts, your journal or your book. And of course, you can always spend time chatting, laughing and connecting with the incredible group of women around you.

In the early evening we’ll gather again to ride camels to view the sunset. Wow is honestly the only word that fits. The colors, the silhouettes, the calm… it will stay with you forever. Watching the Amazigh people care for their animals will put any worries to rest.

Tonight we celebrate our final desert evening with another beautiful dinner and a lively drum circle under the stars. And who knows — you might be handed a drum to play. Trust me, you’ll want to say yes.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
    Accommodation: Merzouga, Sahara Desert

*Sandboarding and camel riding is included. ATVs and nomadic family visits will be an extra cost.

  • This morning we’ll take the 4x4 vehicles back out of the desert to meet our driver and begin our journey west toward the Atlas Mountains. The first stop is a rug cooperative, where local Amazigh women create gorgeous, handwoven carpets using traditional techniques. Their artistry, their stories and their joy are unforgettable. It’s a beautiful window into Moroccan craftsmanship.

We’ll continue our drive and stop for lunch before passing through Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Morocco. Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed in this region. The desert landscapes and kasbahs feel like stepping onto a film set.

By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous ksars (fortified villages) in Morocco. Made of earthen clay and sitting dramatically on a hillside, it looks almost untouched by time. Traders once stopped here along the ancient caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech, and its walls have witnessed centuries of history, culture and storytelling. Oh, and Game of Thrones.

As the evening light settles in, you’ll have time to wander through the narrow pathways and climb up the fortress for views that stretch across the surrounding valleys. The way this place glows at sunset is unreal — warm, golden, ancient and cinematic.

    Meals included: Breakfast
    Accommodation: Ait Ben Haddou

  • This morning we’ll leave the quiet beauty of Aït Ben Haddou and make our way to Marrakech, the city of color, rhythm and deep tradition. Once we arrive, you’ll have time to unwind at the pool, soak up the sun and settle into the warm, vibrant energy of the city.

In the early afternoon we’ll head out for a guided walking tour that brings Marrakech to life.

We’ll explore the breathtaking Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of carved ceilings, mosaic tiles and peaceful courtyards. Then we’ll wander through the lively medina, tasting special street snacks and discovering hidden corners, artisans and flavors that make Marrakech unforgettable.

We’ll end the evening at a women run cooperative, a space dedicated to empowering local women with skills to enter the workforce and create economic independence. The women will welcome us with dinner, warmth and stories that stay with you long after the trip ends. It is a meaningful, heart-centered experience and one of the most important parts of our time here.

    Meals included: Breakfast
    Accommodation: Marrakech

  • If you’re up for an unforgettable experience, this morning you can join the optional hot air balloon ride as the sun rises over Marrakech. Watching the desert and distant mountains glow in the early light is one of those “pinch me” moments that stays with you forever. After your flight, you’ll enjoy breakfast at the balloon camp before heading back to the city. If you choose to sleep in, breakfast will be provided to you at the hotel.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to design exactly how you want.
My recommendation? Dive into the medina for some joyful shopping and pick up gifts, treasures and souvenirs that will forever remind you of this journey. Marrakech markets are vibrant, colorful and full of beauty — an adventure in themselves.

Other options for your free time include:
    • indulge in a hammam service or spa treatment and tea at the Royal Mansour
    • wander the stunning Majorelle Garden
    • explore the YSL Museum next door
    • relax at the hotel pool and take it all in

Tonight we’ll come back together for a special surprise dinner — a warm, celebratory final evening to honor everything you’ve experienced and the sisterhood you’ve built.

After dinner, Alyssa will guide a heartfelt closing workshop designed to help you reflect, integrate and carry the transformation of this trip back into your everyday life. It’s a beautiful, grounding way to end our time together.

    Meals included: Breakfast & Dinner
    Accommodation: Marrakech

  • This morning we’ll enjoy one final breakfast together, sharing hugs, laughter and those “I can’t believe we just did that” reflections that only come after a truly transformational trip. It’s a gentle, sweet moment to honor the connections you’ve made and the version of yourself you’re taking home.

After breakfast, we’ll say our goodbyes and your private transport will take you to the Marrakech airport for your departure.

If your flight leaves from Casablanca, we can help arrange transportation — whether you prefer private transfer, shared transfer or taking the train. Whatever you need, we’ll make sure you get there smoothly.

This is not the end, sugar plum.
It’s the beginning of everything you’re taking with you.

    Meals included: Breakfast

New Here?

Meet your trip host, Alyssa

As a certified travel coach for women, I am always asked, “What if I’m lonely or bored or scared on my solo trip?” Or, “I don’t know how to solo travel!”

Women saw me traveling solo and wanted to know how I did it. They wanted to stop waiting— for their friend circles or partner to say yes, their kids to get older, their dogs to stop whining, for the stress to go away—and feel free to take off by themselves but had so many doubts and fears about going alone.

That’s where the birth of my group trips started. Solo, but not alone!

My favorite thing about leading group trips is seeing women’s faces light up as they gain confidence and feel connected to the places and people they meet.

All without lifting a finger. I do it all and you get to show up and enjoy the ride.

This Trip Is For You If…

✔ You are kind, thoughtful, self-aware, and drama free.

✔ You are eager to learn about a different culture, the locals, and want to take care of the land. We’re guests, not consumers.

✔ You understand that things don’t operate in Morocco as they do back home, so you’re okay going with the flow if need be.

✔ You celebrate differences such as backgrounds, beliefs, personalities, or ages.

✔ You want to support other women and are open to other women supporting you if you need it!

✔ You are ready to say yes to the moment. You go to Morocco for more than just a trip. You go for your heart to burst open and feel a deep sense of connection to others. Be prepared to be transformed.

✔You like to laugh and have fun. Life is too short to be serious all the time!

Hear From Past Travelers:

“This trip gave me all the college dorm vibes again—late-night laughs, both deep and silly conversations, amazing food, and nonstop adventures. Because we didn’t all know each other well, it created space for openness, surprise, and genuine connection. Solo Girl Wanders did an amazing job curating such a memorable experience for us.” —Melinda

“Having Alyssa plan the trip cut out hours of research and decision making and it was nice to be a follower and not a leader. It was nice to give up that responsibility!”—Katie

Our girls’ trip with Solo Girl Wanders was action-packed, full of cultural experiences, and incredibly educational. Traveling with Alyssa made every moment even more special, blending fun and connection with a deeper understanding of traditions. It was the perfect adventure for women who want meaningful travel.” —Sharon

Frequently
Asked
Questions

  • Ideally you fly into Casablanca (CMN) and out of Marrakech (RAK). If you need roundtrip from either of these cities, we can arrange additional transportation (private, shared, or train).

  • Yes! I recommend “cancel for any reason” insurance, but at a minimum you must purchase medical coverage and post-departure coverage.

Buy insurance within 10-14 days of your first trip payment for maximum coverage options since some insurance won’t cover pre-existing conditions if you wait.

  • Any ages!

Most of the women who travel with me are between 30 and 55 years old but if you have an open heart and adventurous spirit, age is just a number!

*Note, you must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Everyone will get one call up to 30 minutes with me before the trip to help them with any specific needs. In addition, a WhatsApp group chat will be created 60 days before the trip to help you along the way.

    Don’t worry, I’ve got you!

  • To hold your spot, you have to put down a $789 deposit. The remaining payment schedule is:

    • $600 due on 01/01/2026

    • $600 due on 02/01/2026

    • $600 due on 03/01/2026

    • $600 due on 04/01/2026

You will be sent payment reminders 10 days before each payment is due. Solo Girl Wanders does not store your credit card payment so you must pay these individually.

  • Because of the small, intimate nature of this trip, I will not be able to offer any refunds. I have to pay the vendors in Guatemala and many of them have no refund policies as well. Please purchase trip insurance with “cancel for any reason” if you’re not sure! DM me if you need help with this.

  • This is a pretty active trip—not in the “let’s hike mountains, skydive, and cold plunge” kind of way. More in the way “let’s go!!!!” kind of way.

We are moving between 6 hotels during 9 nights so this trip is about exploring, not lounging. So if you’re someone who wants to see places, feel adventurous, and needs just a little bit of down time each day, this is for you.

Read my group code of conduct here for a better understanding of the way I keep things fun and enjoyable for all.

  • I totally get it! You will have 2 pre calls to meet all the women on the trip plus everyone will fill out a form about sleeping preferences (sound machine vs silence, stay up late vs get to bed early, etc). This is intended to match you with a person that will be the best fit for your bedroom habits.

If you are interested in booking your whole room throughout, please let me know and I can get you updated pricing.

What Makes This Trip Special?

  • Alyssa as your guide…you’re held with compassion, clarity, and safety so you can turn off your brain!

  • 6-10 women only…connection without overwhelm.

  • Time spent in adventure with enough calm…sand dunes, busy city markets, cooking classes, with slow peaceful time and pool dips mixed in.

  • Designed for solo women by a solo woman…supporting local women is the name of the game wherever possible.

  • We get to experience authentic luxury riads…riads are historically family homes that are converted to hotels with a large courtyard in the middle where a pool, restaurant, or lobby now stands. Stunning.

  • We get to stay in the Sahara Desert in luxury tents…DID YOU HEAR ME? Yes, electricity, AC, bathrooms, in a tent in one of the most magical places on earth. Be prepared for stars that twinkle and drumming circles that will make your body MOVE.
