Why UZBEKISTAN
Untapped beauty.
There are roughly 25 million videos of the same ten famous places. And then there's Uzbekistan. This is where the old Silk Road ran, which means centuries of traders, scholars, and travelers passed through, leaving behind some of the most jaw-dropping architecture on the planet.
Tilework so intricate you'll fill your camera roll before lunch. Bazaars that have been running for centuries. Bread that comes out of a clay oven looking like art.
It’s exactly the kind of destination women say they’re craving but exactly the kind they'd never plan alone without feeling overwhelmed. Different alphabet. Unfamiliar region. Train schedules that make your head spin.
Which is why you don't have to plan any of it. You just show up.
THE JOURNEY
Eight days, mapped with care

Some notes about itineraries:
Free time is a feature, not a gap. During each open block you'll get options — wander solo, join a friend, or rest. Choose your own adventure.
Travel being what it is, itineraries occasionally shift for closures or weather. We roll with it and find something even better.

YOUR HOST
Meet Alyssa.
As a certified travel coach for women, I am always asked, “What if I’m lonely or bored or scared on my solo trip?” Or, “I don’t know how to solo travel!”
Women saw me traveling solo and wanted to know how I did it— how to stop waiting on friend circles or partners, on kids getting older, on stress fading. That’s how my group trips were born.
Solo, but not alone!
My favorite thing about leading group trips is seeing women’s faces light up as they gain confidence and connect to the places and people they meet.
All without lifting a finger.
You get to show up. I’ve got the rest.
IN THEIR WORDS
From past Solo Girl Wander-ers.
“This trip gave me all the college dorm vibes again—late-night laughs, both deep and silly conversations, amazing food, and nonstop adventures. Because we didn’t all know each other well, it created space for openness, surprise, and genuine connection. Solo Girl Wanders did an amazing job curating such a memorable experience for us.” —Melinda, Morocco Group Trip 2025
“Having Alyssa plan the trip cut out hours of research and decision making and it was nice to be a follower and not a leader. It was nice to give up that responsibility!”—Katie, Europe Group Trip 2024
“Alyssa was an amazing host and guide; it was like traveling with a really cool friend that showed you all the great places! I had such an amazing time on this trip! Thanks again for leading our group and being our reina [queen].” —Kathy, Guatemala Group Trip 2026
Our girls’ trip with Solo Girl Wanders was action-packed, full of cultural experiences, and incredibly educational. Traveling with Alyssa made every moment—from the colorful souks of Marrakech to our desert adventures—even more special, blending fun and connection with a deeper understanding of Moroccan traditions. It was the perfect adventure for women who want meaningful travel.” —Sharon, Morocco Group Trip 2025
“Having traveled extensively throughout my life, letting go of the plan was not easy. Alyssa really had it all locked down. I have and would recommend Solo Girl Wanders as a great way to travel for those who need help planning or just don't want to go alone & can rest assured they are in excellent hands.” —Miles, Guatemala Group Trip 2026

FAQ
Everything you’re wondering.
-
Fly into Tashkent (TAS). The trip ends in Khiva with a transfer to Urgench Airport (UGC), so book a multi-city ticket (into Tashkent, home from Urgench).
If you decide you want to fly roundtrip to/from Tashkent, you can take a short flight from Urgench at the end of the trip back to Tashkent on Uzbekistan Airways.
I'm happy to help you figure out your routing.
-
Yes! I recommend “cancel for any reason” insurance, but at a minimum you must purchase medical coverage and post-departure coverage.
Buy insurance within 10-14 days of your first trip payment for maximum coverage options since some insurance won’t cover pre-existing conditions if you wait.
I recommend, and am proud to partner with Wanderwell, a Certified B Corporation travel insurance provider that makes it as simple as possible. They don’t overwhelm you with options, offering just a few modern, benefit-packed trip protection plans that can cover the most common travel perils related to trip cancellation, trip interruption, trip delay, travel Medical Expenses, baggage & personal effects, Emergency Medical Evacuation, and more.
-
Any ages!
I have had travelers from 22-76 years old, with the majority of the women between 30 and 55 years old. If you have an open heart, an adventurous spirit, a positive outlook, and can move with ease, then age is just a number!
*Note, you must be at least 21 years of age.
-
Don’t worry, I’ve got you! I will send you packing guides, language tips, and some travel tools. We will also meet virtually before the trip where you can ask questions and we can get to know each other.
In addition, a WhatsApp group chat will be created a few weeks before the trip to help you along the way.
Plus, you can send me a message if you need something.
-
Because of the small, intimate nature of this trip, I will not be able to offer any refunds. I have to pay the vendors in Uzbekistan and many of them have no refund policies as well. Please purchase trip insurance with “cancel for any reason” if you’re not sure! DM me if you need help with this.
-
This trip blends exploration and down time.
We are moving every 2 nights (4 hotels total). So if you’re someone who wants to see places, feel adventurous, and needs just a little bit of down time each day, this is for you.
Read my group code of conduct here for a better understanding of the way I keep things fun and enjoyable for all.
-
I totally get it! You will have 1 pre-trip call to meet all the women on the trip plus everyone will fill out a form about sleeping preferences (sound machine vs silence, stay up late vs get to bed early, etc). This is intended to match you with a person that will be the best fit for your sleep habits.
If you know you snore and/or want your own privateroom, please book that upon checkout.
-
It is fairly easy to be vegetarian on this trip. Vegans and gluten-free ladies are welcome but those meals are not guaranteed so I wouldn’t advise it if your diets are strict.
-
Yes! You have an option to make a deposit and then payments along the way. You will see all the details on the payment option page.
If a voice is saying, “I’m not sure” — let’s talk.
STILL ON THE FENCE?
Book a 20-minute call and we’ll talk through what’s holding you back. No pressure. Ever.
