Why UZBEKISTAN

Untapped beauty.

There are roughly 25 million videos of the same ten famous places. And then there's Uzbekistan. This is where the old Silk Road ran, which means centuries of traders, scholars, and travelers passed through, leaving behind some of the most jaw-dropping architecture on the planet.

Tilework so intricate you'll fill your camera roll before lunch. Bazaars that have been running for centuries. Bread that comes out of a clay oven looking like art.

It’s exactly the kind of destination women say they’re craving but exactly the kind they'd never plan alone without feeling overwhelmed. Different alphabet. Unfamiliar region. Train schedules that make your head spin.

Which is why you don't have to plan any of it. You just show up.

THE JOURNEY

Eight days, mapped with care

Some notes about itineraries:

Free time is a feature, not a gap. During each open block you'll get options — wander solo, join a friend, or rest. Choose your own adventure.

Travel being what it is, itineraries occasionally shift for closures or weather. We roll with it and find something even better.

YOUR HOST

Meet Alyssa.

As a certified travel coach for women, I am always asked, “What if I’m lonely or bored or scared on my solo trip?” Or, “I don’t know how to solo travel!”

Women saw me traveling solo and wanted to know how I did it— how to stop waiting on friend circles or partners, on kids getting older, on stress fading. That’s how my group trips were born.

Solo, but not alone!

My favorite thing about leading group trips is seeing women’s faces light up as they gain confidence and connect to the places and people they meet.

All without lifting a finger.

You get to show up. I’ve got the rest.

IN THEIR WORDS

From past Solo Girl Wander-ers.

“This trip gave me all the college dorm vibes again—late-night laughs, both deep and silly conversations, amazing food, and nonstop adventures. Because we didn’t all know each other well, it created space for openness, surprise, and genuine connection. Solo Girl Wanders did an amazing job curating such a memorable experience for us.” —Melinda, Morocco Group Trip 2025

“Having Alyssa plan the trip cut out hours of research and decision making and it was nice to be a follower and not a leader. It was nice to give up that responsibility!”—Katie, Europe Group Trip 2024

“Alyssa was an amazing host and guide; it was like traveling with a really cool friend that showed you all the great places! I had such an amazing time on this trip! Thanks again for leading our group and being our reina [queen].” —Kathy, Guatemala Group Trip 2026

Our girls’ trip with Solo Girl Wanders was action-packed, full of cultural experiences, and incredibly educational. Traveling with Alyssa made every moment—from the colorful souks of Marrakech to our desert adventures—even more special, blending fun and connection with a deeper understanding of Moroccan traditions. It was the perfect adventure for women who want meaningful travel.” —Sharon, Morocco Group Trip 2025

“Having traveled extensively throughout my life, letting go of the plan was not easy. Alyssa really had it all locked down. I have and would recommend Solo Girl Wanders as a great way to travel for those who need help planning or just don't want to go alone & can rest assured they are in excellent hands.” —Miles, Guatemala Group Trip 2026
